Detailed presentation of the project content:

We spend a significant part of our time in closed spaces (home, workplace, school), in the air of which not only are there but also can accumulate those harmful compounds, particles, colloidal particles, the extraction and binding of which can significantly improve our quality of life. These harmful compounds, allergens are responsible for a multitude of health problems that affect about 30-35% of the population worldwide (allergic reactions affecting the skin, respiratory system, immune system).

In our opinion, textile products in our immediate environment can serve not only aesthetic and shading purposes, but due to the enormous specific surface area of textile fibers, they can play a decisive role in the quality of the air they come into contact with, and the concentration of pollutants and substances harmful to health in the air.

The primary goal of our project is to develop a special textile technology that is suitable for binding harmful substances (toxins, pollens, allergens) present in our environment and at home. Due to the high adsorption properties of textiles, they are specifically capable of extracting these pollutants from the atmosphere, which can be removed during the cleaning of home textiles.

The technology and product family to be developed will significantly contribute to improving the air quality of enclosed spaces and reducing the risk of allergic reactions, which are considered a common disease. It can also reduce allergic problems in neonates, infants and the elderly, thus having a fundamental positive impact on improving the quality of life of a wide range of society.

During the development, we develop the technology for producing textiles with special adsorption capabilities and create home textiles optimized for various areas of use.
