Subject and purpose of the development: The purpose of the project is to provide support to Rovitex Homedeco Kft. to offset the negative economic effects that the United Kingdom suffered as a result of its withdrawal from the European Union.

Rovitex Homedeco Kft. was founded in 1996 with the aim of becoming a key player in the Hungarian and international home textile market with its high-quality products and high-quality services. Our areas of activity include the import and export of home textiles, domestic wholesale activities, sales and production. Primarily, curtains, carpets, covers, tablecloths, wallpapers and other home and wall decoration products are among the products we produce and distribute. The Rovitex group of companies has now become the market leader in Hungary and also has a significant market share and position in the surrounding countries. Currently, Rovitex is present on a daily basis in 9 countries, e.g. Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, and carries out export activities worldwide from Japan via Lithuania to Greece. Our company has been a participant in prestigious international exhibitions for many years, e.g. Heimtextil Frankfurt. In addition to its sales activities, Rovitex also has manufacturing capacity. In addition to the traditional, 200, single wide material, we also have a wide range of 300 materials. We produce this with a special, in-house printing machine, which is unique in the region. With the help of this machine, we can provide a unique color and pattern selection. Rovitex comes out with two new collections every year, which are developed based on international trends and taking into account the needs of the Hungarian market. Our company has had ISO9001/2000 certification since 2006, and a corporate management system since 2009. The company is 100% privately owned by Hungarians. Our stable economic situation ensures the implementation of our continuous development plans, and a new production hall is currently under construction, in connection with our research-development-innovation development, the aim of which is to develop a textile impregnation technology that provides an antibacterial protective layer on the surface of our products. To implement our plans, the professional preparation and language skills of our colleagues provide an adequate basis for the implementation and operation of the planned investments.

Detailed presentation of the project content: Our plans to be implemented within the framework of the project are multifaceted, but overall, each of them aims to increase export activity, including boosting trade relations with the United Kingdom. The investment goal of our project is to create a so-called Munkácsy export-import center and model plant in the city center of Pécs. In this center, we would offer general export-import services, with particular attention to the British market. Services would include, for example, legal advice, tax and customs advice, entry issues, and risk assessment of business opportunities. The property is already available and is awaiting transformation in accordance with the goals. According to our ideas, a sophisticated, modern office would be created for consulting and negotiation purposes. Our plans include providing company introduction opportunities for both Hungarian and foreign companies, and organizing business forums.

The Munkácsy Center would house a small model factory, with a textile product display and a demonstration sewing shop.

This center not only aims to increase the turnover of the Rovitex group of companies, but also promotes the establishment of valuable business relationships for both our own and partner companies. Our goal is to achieve the level of export turnover growth before Brexit. Another particularly important element of our project is the acquisition of new equipment resulting in technological development. Our plan is a textile printing machine, the setting of which would significantly increase our domestic production capacity. We would be less dependent on foreign deliveries, but at the same time our own exports would also be more stable, we would be able to work with our export partners with tighter deadlines, which provides a significant competitive advantage for our company. We would strengthen our presence in foreign markets with marketing activities and local market survey consulting.
